Formed in 1981, Slayer was one of the founding Big 4 thrash-metal bands that rose to prominence with the popularity of the form in the early eighties. Alongside Metallica, Anthrax and Megadeth, Slayer reached a huge audience and has sold more than 5 million albums in the USA alone. But after almost 40 years at rock s top table, in January 2018 Slayer announced their farewell tour, currently in progess, and following which the band plans to disband.
This CD features a classic live show from Slayer, previously unavailable on CD, recorded on the 1994 Monsters Of Rock Tour in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Taken from a live transmission of the show broadcast nationally across both TV and FM Radio at the time , this gig remains a classic concert in Slayer s live catalogue and will prove a fitting tribute to a band who have, across four decades, provided so much inspiration and influence to so many.
