The Chicago band signed to Geffen Records in 1992, and went into the studio determined to produce a hit record. They enjoyed some moderate success on alt rock radio with the singles "Positive Bleeding," "Dropout," "Bottle Of Fur" and "Sister Havana" (but the real breakthrough came a year later, when their cover of Neil Diamond's "Girl You'll Be A Woman Soon" featured prominently in Pulp Fiction).
