This EP marks the debut of Rancid's second guitar player, Lars Frederiksen (formerly of the UK Subs). Having been released between their debut and Let's Go, this record is a nice little segue between Rancid's days as a fast and furious skate punk band to their eventual jump into the world of midtempo 1977 Brit-punk -- most of it sounding like the Clash.
Needless to say, this is not only a nice representation of what these guys used to sound like, but it'll push the right button to release anyone's adrenaline -- Blitz cover and all.
